Streamiva is a discovery app. It learns what you like, recommends movies and series that match your taste, and shows you where each title is available to watch (for example on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+ or Disney+). Streamiva plays plugin media links directly on your device, including films from our public-domain starter. This statement explains what we collect to make recommendations work, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It applies to the Streamiva website, the Android and iOS apps, and the Streamiva apps for Android TV, Samsung TVs and Roku. Your use of Streamiva is also governed by our Terms of Use.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or payment details. Streamiva does not sell ads or include third-party analytics SDKs; the only ads you may see are those YouTube shows in its trailer player (see Trailers and YouTube below).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
The approximate location of your connection is looked up in a database we host ourselves; your IP address is not sent to anyone for it.
When you play a plugin link, your device requests video directly from its media host. That host receives your IP address and the information needed to deliver the video, such as the requested file, byte range and device request headers. The Streamiva application backend does not relay that video. Some plugins, including our public-domain starter, are operated by Streamiva on a separate host. Other operators apply their own privacy policies. Disabling or removing a plugin stops new source discovery through Streamiva. Previously issued playback tickets and media links may remain usable until they expire or their provider revokes them.
Streamiva shows you which services offer a title, and may link to content and services run by others. When you use a streaming provider, follow a link to another site, or add an extension to your browser or device, that third party's own terms and privacy practices apply. Streamiva does not control them and is not responsible for them.
Streamiva uses YouTube API Services to play trailers: a trailer plays in YouTube's embedded player, which loads only when you play a trailer. While it plays, YouTube (Google) may set cookies, use your device's storage, collect information about your device and what you watch, and show ads, under the Google Privacy Policy. Streamiva does not receive that information. The only thing we record is that you watched a trailer, as one of your taste signals, to improve your recommendations. You agree to trailers playing in YouTube's player when you accept the Terms of Use as you finish setting up your account, and you can turn it off or back on at any time in Settings. While it is off, trailers open on YouTube's own website or app instead of playing inside Streamiva.
The Streamiva website uses only essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your language and one that remembers which profile is active. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why the site shows no cookie banner. If we ever add a cookie that is not essential, we will ask for your consent first. The trailer player is provided by YouTube and may set its own cookies when you play a trailer.
You can delete individual profiles at any time from Settings, and you can delete your whole account from Settings on the website or in the app (step by step, and how to ask us by e-mail instead, on Delete your account). Deleting your account removes every profile, all taste signals, activity history and search history, your device records and your sign-in identity, so the same e-mail address or phone number can later sign up as a brand-new account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. The only thing we keep is the record of the legal documents you agreed to, as evidence of that agreement; it is deleted automatically 24 months after your account is deleted.
Streamiva accounts are for people who are 18 or older, and you confirm this when you set up your account. The Account Holder may create profiles for other members of their household and is responsible for how those profiles are used. If you believe someone under 18 holds an account, contact us and we will remove it.
We will post any changes to this statement on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by e-mail if we have your address and inside Streamiva. Changes to our Terms of Use work the same way.
