Delete your account
How to delete your Streamiva account and the data that goes with it. This applies to the Streamiva app (com.streamiva.mobile) and the Streamiva for TV app (com.streamiva.tv) on Google Play, both published by streamiva, and to the website streamiva.net. They all share one account, so deleting it once deletes it everywhere.
In the Streamiva app
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen, then Settings.
- Scroll down to Delete Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Yes, delete my account.
On the website
- Sign in at streamiva.net with the account you want to delete.
- Open your profile menu at the top of the page and choose Settings.
- Choose the Delete Account tab, then Delete account.
- Confirm with Yes, delete my account.
On a TV
Streamiva for TV, like the Streamiva apps for Samsung TVs and Roku, has no delete button: a TV signs in to an account you approve at streamiva.net/pair. Delete the account in the Streamiva app or on the website as above. That also signs the TV out: the next time it renews its sign-in it is refused, and it goes back to its pairing screen.
Without the app
If you cannot sign in, e-mail davids@streamiva.net and ask us to delete your account. Send it from the e-mail address your account uses, or, if you sign in with a phone number, tell us that number. We will respond within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account details: your e-mail address or phone number, country, preferred language, your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and your marketing choice.
- Your sign-in identity, so the same e-mail address or phone number can later sign up as a brand-new account.
- Every profile, with its taste signals: the titles liked or disliked, added to the watchlist or marked as watched, and the trailers played.
- Your activity history and search history.
- The records of the devices signed in to your account.
Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. It cannot be undone.
What is kept
- The record of the legal documents you agreed to (which versions, when, the app and language you used, your IP address and your browser or device), as evidence of that agreement. It is deleted automatically 24 months after your account is deleted.
- Server logs (IP address, request time), which are kept for no more than 90 days, and backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.
Before you delete
To remove only one person's data, delete their profile in Settings instead of the whole account. To keep a copy of your data, use Download your data in Settings on the website first. More about what we collect and why is in our Privacy Statement. Questions: davids@streamiva.net.
