Selling a plugin

A plugin can be free or paid. You set the price in the developer dashboard (never in the manifest), Streamiva takes the payment, and the proxy only calls a paid plugin for a profile that holds an Entitlement to it. Your server proves the call came through Streamiva by checking the Entitlement token.

Becoming a seller

Paid plugins need a verified developer account:

  1. Apply from the developer dashboard. Streamiva checks your identity by hand (KYC) and asks for the documents it needs to pay you.
  2. Accept the Developer Terms.
  3. Streamiva links your manifest to your developer account by hand. Until then the plugin can only be free.

Price models

Model What the buyer gets
Free The plugin works for everyone who installs it.
Monthly A subscription that renews every month. You may offer a free trial of 7, 14 or 30 days, or none.
One-time The plugin for good, after one payment.

When a free plugin turns paid

Choose what happens to the people who already installed it:

Owners affected by any model change get an e-mail and a banner in the website's Settings.

Your share

From each payment, in this order:

  1. The 18% VAT included in the price comes out first.
  2. The payment provider's fee comes out.
  3. What is left splits 80% to you and 20% to Streamiva.

Payouts

Streamiva pays once a month to an Israeli bank account, for sales older than 30 days, once your balance reaches ₪100.

What viewers see

The Streamiva apps on phones, TVs, Roku and Samsung never mention plugins, prices or purchases. Buying happens on the website. A plugin a profile has not bought, or whose Entitlement lapsed, simply contributes nothing to that profile's rows and streams.
